Who we are
BrightSun Solar is a solar installation business based in Nairobi, Kenya. This notice explains what personal data we collect through this website and WhatsApp, and how we use it. Contact us about your data at leads@brightsunsolar.co.ke or +254720583313.
What we collect
- Quote form: your name, phone/WhatsApp number, property type, what you need, approximate electricity bill, town or estate, and when you want to install.
- WhatsApp and email: the messages, photos or bills you choose to send us.
- Website analytics: if analytics is enabled, anonymous usage data such as pages visited and which buttons were clicked.
Why we use it
Only to respond to your enquiry: to contact you, size a system, book a site survey, prepare a quote and, if you become a customer, to install and support your system. We rely on your consent and on the steps needed to enter into a contract with you, as provided for in the Data Protection Act, 2019.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. It is seen only by our team and by service providers that help us run the business, such as our web host, email provider and WhatsApp (Meta), under their own data protection terms.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer, in which case we keep the records needed for warranties and after-sales support.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your data, or to stop contacting you, at any time using the contact details above. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (odpc.go.ke).
Security
This website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and enquiry records are stored in an area of our server that is not publicly accessible.
